Airports of Thailand (AOT) has disclosed that all passengers must wear a face mask or a face mask with face shield before entering airport buildings. Passengers who wear only a face shield will not be allowed to enter the airport. The measure is one of the prevention measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. In response to the COVID-19 situation, theMinistry of Digital Economy and Society has developed various mobile applications, i.e., Mor Chana, Thai Chana, AOT Airport Card2U, and 'Digital Volunteers. Digital Economy and Society Development Fund has also provided financial support to 42 projects (total budget framework of 1 billion Baht) for business rehabilitation in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic. In terms of technological infrastructure, the country fares better by 4 notches at 34thout of 63 countries, with notable indicators, such as mobile broadband subscribers, use of big data and analytics, and development ofwww.bigdata.go.th. Thailand has been on guard more strictly after many reports revealed that the number of smuggled persons or illegal immigrants to Thailand is rising, after the lockdown measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 were lifted and businesses are now reopened. As these illegal immigrant laborers do not pass the screening and COVID-19 testing processes, it has led to a major concern about a possible second wave of COVID-19. Therefore, the Government will be stricter about monitoring along the borders and stemming migrants who try to enter Thailand illegally via natural passes, on both land and water. (13/07/2020)

Museums under the Fine Arts Department have offered free admission every Sunday for both Thais and foreigners who come with their families until September 27 this year. The move followed the government's measures to stimulate tourism for four months from July to October this year. (13/07/2020)
The Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with Ramathibodi Hospital and the National Health Security Office, has debuted a new service for colon cancer patients by providing a method of chemotherapy that can be done at home, without hospitalization: the Home Chemotherapy Rama Model (HCRM). The new service has been available for patients in seven hospitals since 1 July, and will be expanded further into 13 health service areas next year. Thailand has approximately 13,000 new cases of colon cancer and 5,000 deaths each year. (10/07/2020)
The Department of Disease Control encourages the public to keep their guard up to reduce the chance of a new spread of COVID-19, as Thailand has had zero cases reported over 40 days; only cases from repatriation flights have been reported. The Department of Livestock Development is launching a mobile livestock project in order to help farmers and the general public to look after their animals health in 77 provinces from 1 to 31 July. The project will be operated for two days in each province and provide several activities, which include health checkup, illness treatment, deworming, castration, vaccination, disease and prevention training, food management, animal breeding, product processing, and more. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), 127 of 155 national parks, as well as wildlife sanctuaries, wildlife nursery stations, and relevant units under the Department of National Parks, Wildlife, and Plant Conservation (DNP), are back in operation from 1 July 2020. The DNP recommends that tourists pre-register their visit through the mobile application QueQ, which can be downloaded from Play Store or App Store. The pre-registration can be done 15 days in advance. The system will allow park officials to limit the number of visitors in each park. Tourists are advised to arrive at the park ahead of their registered schedule to undergo screening and check-in using the government's Thai Chana app. They are also required to observe social distancing rules and wear a mask at all times. The Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration has revealed the poll results on the publics way of life after the relaxed measures, conducted by Suan Dusit Poll during 1-4 July 2020 from 1,109 representative samples. 52.93% decreased their worry after Thailand had no new domestic cases over 30 days. 39.40% hope that the country will come back to normal by the end of the year 2020, while 77.55% want the Government to keep aware of the situation strictly to prevent the spread of the virus. The Fine Arts Department will be opening a new building for the Phra Buddha Chinnarat National Museum, at Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat temple in Phitsanulok province, where numerous valuable antique objects are collected. The museum is scheduled to open for the general public in August with several exhibitions that will include golden and silver trees dedicated to the Phra Buddha Chinnarat statue by King Rama IX, cut glassware, religious lamps, sacred objects, and more. The museum also exhibits the archeology and history of Phitsanulok city, the temple, and Phra Buddha Chinnarat from the past to the present. (08/07/2020)
Jurin Laksanawisit, the Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister, has insisted that the coconut industry in Thailand doesn't use monkeys to harvest coconuts, after the false accusation by PETA made supermarkets in the United Kingdom and the United State remove Thai coconut products from their shelves. Mr. Jurin said that these days, monkeys arent used to harvest coconuts on an industrial scale. He will invite the coconut manufacturers to clarify the situation; meanwhile, foreign ambassadors to Thailand who have questions about this issue will be invited to visit the farms. (08/07/2020)

Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Co Ltd (BEM) will waive toll-way fees at Chalerm Mahanakorn, Si Rat, and Udon Ratthaya expressways on every public holiday to ease peoples burden. The Department of Highways (DOH) is now ready to facilitate travel and traffic management for the general public during the Buddhist Lent holidays, when numerous people normally return home and travel upcountry. Additionally, the DOH and related agencies will be keeping the highways in good condition, providing mobile service cars in case of emergency, and more. Furthermore, the general public may also check up on the traffic via birds-eye view cameras or real-time CCTV by applying the Thailand Highway Traffic application before or while traveling. Bangkok has debuted its electric passenger boat service along Khlong Phadung Krungkasem canal to help alleviate traffic problems by using new, environmentally friendly transport. The service will operate from 1 July onwards daily, from 07.00 to 19.00 hr, from Hua Lamphong pier to Thewarat Kunchorn pier, with a total of 11 piers in five kilometers. (02/07/2020)
