National Vaccine Institute (Public Organization) will take His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadejs wishes to move forward Thailand to have enough and sustainable vaccine for using in the country both in crisis and emergency situation. Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha, on 18 November 2016, visited Khlong Raphiphat Yaek Tok in Pathum Thani province to observe the water management and cultivation, as well as to update himself on the Governments work for the local people. The premier also stated that the area was important since it was a kaem ling, or monkey cheek, a retention area to keep water, which would help relieve flooding from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya to downstream Bangkok. On 17 November 2016, the Royal Thai Navy elegantly deployed thousands of its officers and a grand orchestra on the deck of the HTMS Chakri Naruebet, Thailand's first and only aircraft carrier, to sing the Royal Anthem in honor of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The aircraft carrier was attended by the HTMS Naresuan, Taksin, and Pinklao, all of which performed gun salutes during the event. (19/11/2016)
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has published the tourism book titled Seventy Routes Following the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadejs Footsteps. All routes connect to 12 Cities Hidden Gems. Now more than 100,000 copies have been disseminated to interested people. TAT plans to make an English version around the end of this year. (19/11/2016)
The Department of Tourism has organized an exhibition of art sculpture for the blind under the theme Art Sculptures: 12 Touchable Cities Hidden Gems. The exhibition runs from 15 to 21 October 2016 at the Crystal Court, Siam Paragon, Bangkok. The aim is to give Thai and international blind persons a chance to discuss and exchange their tourism imagination and experiences. (19/11/2016)
The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Foundation (PMF), from 16-18 November 2016, is organizing a singing contest as a tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The songs to be used in the contest will be songs composed in honor of or from the royal discourses of His Majesty. The event is taking place at Meeting Room 1, Public Relations Department Auditorium Building. (18/11/2016)
Over 900 organic rice farmers in Kammaet village, Kut Chum district, Yasothon province, in the Northeast, on 17 November 2016, joined in forming the Thai number 9, as a tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The activities included a mourning speech, an 89-second moment of silent standing, and singing of the royal anthem. They also vowed to live a moral, self-sufficient life and to continue the development of organic farming. (18/11/2016)
The Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with the Thai Red Cross Society, has organized a campaign for organ and eye donation in commemoration of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. An exhibition on organ donation will be launched in every hostipal in December. People who would like to donate organs may contact the Thai Red Cross Society and nearby hospitals from 1 December 2016 to 5 December 2017. (18/11/2016)
The Prince Mahidol Award Foundation, on 16 November 2016, announced the Prince Mahidol Laureates 2016. In the field of Medicine and Public Health, the awardee is Sir Gregory Paul Winter from the United Kingdom. He is one of the world's leading scientists and a pioneer in the field of antibody engineering and modification technology. In the field of Public Health, the awardee is Professor Vladimir Hachinski from Canada. This laureate is the worlds leading doctor specializing in stroke and vascular dementia. Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will preside over the presentation ceremony on 31 January 2017 at Chakri Maha Prasat Throne Hall. (18/11/2016)
The National Science Museum, in cooperation with Seagate Technology Thailand Ltd., has launched a project promoting science and technology education. The project aims to develop childrens learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through a STEM camp, which will be organized at the National Science Museum, Khlong 5, Pathumthani, on 19-20 November 2016. The Ministry of Education has hosted the 39th High Officials Meeting of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) to discuss more cooperation in educational, scientific, and cultural development between Southeast Asian countries. SEAMEO member countries will urgently work collaboratively to develop educational quality and to provide equal educational opportunities for all children. (17/11/2016)

Because of slumping rice prices, the Government has advised farmers to grow corn and green manure crops. The Ministry of Commerce will support crop rotation with two measures: (1) promoting the cultivation of green manure crops on 320 square kilometers in 19 provinces at the Chao Phraya River Basin, and (2) assigning the Department of Agricultural Extension to promote the cultivation of field corn on 3,200 sq km in 35 provinces with a financial support scheme. These projects aim to help the farmers sell their products at higher prices than rice. (17/11/2016)

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy said that His Majesty the late King was the Father of Energy Development. The King recognized Thailand as an agriculture country, and tried to integrate everything into a complete system. His royal vision came up with the idea that agricultural products could be used as alternative energy, and it would bring the farmers extra income. The ministry will continue to increase the amount of gasohol and bio-diesel production. Therefore, Thai people can live more self-sufficiently with alternative energy. (16/11/2016)

The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has launched 115 new trains, which will operate on four rail lines. The four lines comprise the line from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, the line from Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani, the line from Bangkok to Nong Khai, and the line from Bangkok to Hat Yai. The new trains include sleeping carriages, which provide facilities for the disabled, such as people using wheelchairs. (16/11/2016)

Ministry of Interior will lead 250 entrepreneurs and OTOP leaders to join Lancang-Mekong Sub Regional Commodity Exposition: LMCE at Kunming, Yunnun, People's Republic of China from 15 to 20 November 2016. The aims are to display, sell Thailands OTOP, and have a chance to exchange and discuss bilateral business, which will lead to promote the Thai and China trade relationships in the future. The activities in this event are the meeting and speeches from six ministers of People's Republic of China, Thai, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, and The Lao People's Democratic Republic of Lao PDR. Thailand makes the profit of 125,208 million baht and aims to make the total selling of OTOP products at 200,000 million baht in 2019. (15/11/2016)
