The rescue team plans to evacuate twelve boys and their coach who are trapped in Tham Luang Cave as soon as possible, but they won't be able to move them out quickly because of the water level. The Thai Navy Seals are staying with the boys and their coach to take care of them and to teach them about scuba diving lesson in an effort to get them out. (05/07/2018)
Satun Provincial Office of Culture launched a project to raise awareness in young people about the media by providing correct knowledge and understanding about religions, arts, and cultural practices. It will enable children to distinguish between constructive and negative information presented by the different forms of media, as there are many distorted facts and explanations at this time. A total of 110 students and teachers participated in the event. (05/07/2018)
Phitsanulok province is one of Thailand's 13 provinces selected for the "Herbal City" project. Recently, the Department for Development of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine held a meeting with officials in Phitsanulok province to follow up on the progress of implementing the project. The project is aimed at promoting the herb-processing industry in Phitsanulok, in response to the government policy to upgrade Thai herbal products in preparation for the Thailand 4.0 industrial era. The Ministry of Commerce revealed that the ministry has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Mekong Institute, an intergovernmental organization serving Lancang-Mekong member countries to boost economic growth in the region. The cooperation agreement will facilitate the six LMC member countries which include China, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam, to achieve their goals in social and economic development. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed that the ninth meeting of the Indonesia-Thailand Joint Commission is scheduled on 5-6 July 2018 in Yogyakarta. The Ministry of Public Health revealed that all public health units were ready to provide assistance to the 12 boys and their football coach found alive and well inside Tham Luang cave Monday night. Medical personnel will be sent to the cave to provide medical care for them. In addition to on-site medical services, the nearest hospital is also equipped and ready to assist the youth football team whenever needed. (04/07/2018)
The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives has acknowledged the impacts on the local farmers in Chiang Rai province from the water drainage operation necessitated by the Tam Luang cave rescue operation. The ministry has ordered the officers to survey and provide assistance to these selfless farmers making sacrifices. (03/07/2018)

The Chiang Rai Governor disclosed that the rescue team found 12 boys and their coach who trapped in Tham Luang Cave for ten days. They are all safe and sound. All rescue team are providing first aid and now preparing to remove them from the cave. (03/07/2018)
His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun has expressed his concern about the fate of teenage football team and their coach, who went missing in Tham Luang cave. The King provided LED lights in order to support the Navy SEAL engagement for the searching operation. (01/07/2018)
Thai Navy SEALs have set an operation spot at the third chamber of Tham Luang Cave and are continuing their mission. So far, the water level in the cave has decreased somewhat. The vice governor of Chiang Rai stated that the water drainage is expected to affect three districts of Chiang Rai, namely Pong Pha, Sri Muang, and Pong Ngam. The authorities have been communicating with citizens in the districts and will fully support the affected families afterward. (01/07/2018)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed that the United States Department of State released the 2018 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report, which upgrades Thailand from Tier 2 Watch List to Tier 2. This better placement of Thailand to Tier 2 reflects the United States due recognition of the Royal Thai Governments serious and sustained efforts as well as significant progress in combatting all forms of human trafficking during the past year. The Ministry of Commerce disclosed that Lanna Expo 2018 is now taking place in Chiang Mai province until 1 July 2018. The exposition aims to promote trade and investment, as well as supporting the investment cycle, which contributes to economic growth. The expo includes the Northern Thailand Food Valley zone showcasing agricultural products and food, the OTOP & SMEs zone showcasing the goods from the region, the tourism zone promoting community based tourism, and the international zone featuring the exchange of cultures from 15 countries. The board of Airports of Thailand has approved an investment budget of 42.1 billion baht for the expansion of Suvarnabhumi Airport. They expect the airport to welcome 65 million passengers this year and 68 million in 2019. Construction is scheduled to begin next year and will be completed in 2021. (27/06/2018)

The Ministry of Commerce disclosed that the ministry will complete the installation of 40,000 EDC card payment terminals by the end of June 2018. It aims to serve persons buying products using their allowances on the welfare card. The ministry plans to develop the Blue Flag Stores on specific operational guidelines, including shop decoration, stock management, logistics planning, accounting, and tax payment, which will help them improve their ability to become discount shops in the future.
