Prime Ministers Office Joins Hands with Nine Universities to Hold Stage Plays in Honor of H.M. the Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej

The Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Ministers Office, in cooperation with nine universities, will organize a series of stage plays, collectively called Sounds of Love, to honor His Majesty the late King Bhumibol, by portraying the royal duties of the late King on the stage for the public to see. The series of shows will run from Wednesday, 25 January 2017 onward.
 
The stage play project in honor of King Rama IX had been set up for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of His Majestys accession to the throne on 9 June 2016, but it was paused after the late King passed away. At this time, however, the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Prime Ministers Office, and nine universities are ready to re-stage the plays by opening them to the public for free at the following venues.
 
1. The University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce will present the "Krob Kru (Thai sacred ceremony to indoctrinate art pupils) show on 25 January 2017 (show time at 14.30 hr) and 26 January (at 14.30 and 19.30 hr). The show will take place at the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Center.
 
2. Silpakorn University will perform "Raeng Ban Dan Jai Raeng Ban Dan Jai (Inspiration) on 28-29 January at 19.00 hr at the Song Pol Theater, Faculty of Arts, Silpakorn University, Sanam Chandra Palace Campus, Nakhon Pathom.
 
3. Bangkok Thonburi University will host the play titled "Look Sao Hua Na Wong Yo (Daughter of the Marching Band Leader) on 1-3 February at 19.00 hr each day at the auditorium of the university hotel.
 
4. Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University will perform "Siang Jak Yaowachon Silapin Therd Bhumin Bhumibol (Voice of Youth in Honor of the Late King Bhumibol) on 4-6 February, at 13.00 and 18.00 hr daily. The show will take place at the theater of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
 
5. Kasem Bundit University will organize its play on 10 February, at 14.00 and 19.00 hr, and on 11 February the show time is 19.00 hr only. On both days, it will be held at the Small Hall of the Thailand Cultural Center.
 
6. Bangkok University will prepare a musical show called "Saeng Thian, the Musical (Candlelight, the Musical) on 17 February (show time 14.00 hr), 18 February (14.00 and 18.00 hr), 24 February (18.00 hr), and 25 February (14.00 and 18.00 hr). The performances will take place at the Black Box Theater of Bangkok University, Rangsit Campus.
 
7. Rangsit University will host the play "Super Hero of the World on 24-26 February, show time at 14.30 hr, at Suryadhep Music Sala of Rangsit University.
 
8. Bansomdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University will perform "Siang Khong Por (Voice of Dad) on 22-24 March at 16.00 hr at the university auditorium.
 
9. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon will organize the play titled "Maled Pun Yaowachon Pluk Rak Pluk Bhakdi Ruang 1:70 Pharacha Karnvela Prachachon (The Seed of Youth Planting Love and Loyalty, Story of 1:70: The King, the Time, and the People) on 8 April, with the show time at 13.00 hr. And on 9 April, the times are 10.00 and 13.00 hr. On both days, the venue is the universitys Mongkol Arbha Auditorium, Nang Leung.
