PRESS RELEASES
Phuket International Marine Expo 2017 to Commemorate the Late King

28 December 2016 (Readers 495)

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced that the 14th International Marine Expo will take place on 5-8 January 2017 at the Royal Phuket Marina. This international marine expo is the biggest of its kind in Asia, where visitors can enjoy exhibitions of the newest and most beautiful boats from many worldwide brands, as well as marine lifestyle products. The expo has become a key fixture in the industry calendar and continues to attract international exhibits and leading local dealers and brokers, as well as millionaires and billionaires from all over Southeast Asia.

Apart from several new activities and features, the event also aims to commemorate the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who was also a talented yachtsman and great supporter of boating and yachting competitions in Thailand. One strong and ongoing example of the late Kings enduring influence on the development of sailing and marine activities in Thailand was the founding of the Phuket Kings Cup Regatta.
