After studying the case of a person reinfected with COVID-19 in Hong Kong, Professor Dr. Yong Poovorawan, a specialist in clinical virology in the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, has shared the information about the second infection, which is caused by a different strain of virus. The first infection of COVID-19 was caused by the V strain, while the reinfection was caused by the G strain. According to the research, four weeks after being infected with the virus, 10% of people are asymptomatic. People with low immunity will show fewer symptoms, while people with high immunity will show more symptoms, since their bodies will fight the virus more, and people who have been infected the second time have fewer symptoms but can spread the virus to others. That information is important for virus prevention and vaccines in the future.
